Between Us helps you slow down, listen deeply and rediscover each other. It isn't about winning discussions or solving every problem — it's about creating moments where you both feel heard, understood and valued.

Before you begin

• Choose a quiet space where you won't be interrupted.
• Put phones away and remove distractions.
• Light a candle, make a drink, set a relaxed mood.
• This is about connection, not perfection.
• Finish while you're still enjoying yourselves.

Playing in the app

1. Tap Play Together and choose an experience (Quick Game, Date Night, Deep Connection, and more).
2. Take turns tapping the card to reveal a question from one of the five suits.
3. The person whose turn it is answers honestly. The other simply listens.
4. Draw an Ace / Wild Card for a spontaneous moment of affection.
5. Draw a Joker to pause the game and share a connection activity before continuing.
6. Use the buttons on each card to save a favourite, journal your reflection, or ask it again later.

The listener's job

After each answer, the listener may only respond with one of these:

• “Tell me more.”
• “Thank you for telling me.”
• “I didn't know that.”

Only one gentle follow-up question before you swap turns.

Between Us principles

• Choose curiosity before assumption.
• Listen to understand, not to reply.
• Don't interrupt.
• Don't defend immediately.
• Don't try to fix unless asked.
• Allow silence.
• Appreciate honesty, even when it's difficult.

Joker moments & Wild Cards

When a Joker or Ace appears, pause and reconnect — a 30-second kiss, a minute holding each other, a slow dance, three appreciations, or finishing “Today I choose you because…”.

Ending the evening

Before you finish, ask each other:

• What was your favourite moment tonight?
• Is there anything you learned about me?
• What would you like to do differently next time?

End with a hug, a kiss or a quiet moment together — and leave looking forward to the next one.
